Hipster Marie Wedding Decorations!

Look what my customer, Amy, made for her Hipster Marie Wedding. She used my Marie Antoinette doll CS24 and the puppeteer paper doll MA20, then added her own creativity to make a memorable, one-of-a-kind wedding! Awesome job!

How I Would Love To Have This Special Talent ...

I finally found the perfect spinning wheel image for this doll. Madame Orlena visits the queen to demonstrate her ability to spin wool into gold. Little does she know that she will be taken into custody and be forced to spin gold for the good of the empire. Here Is Something To Brighten Your Spring...

Finally, after a computer crash and a dead printer that got replaced, I am able to get spring things finished. This can be used for generic spring, but also has an Easter egg version. https://www.etsy.com/listing/126681480/easter-marie-antoinette-paper-doll

Give A Pretzel To Your Sweetheart: A Luxembourg Tradition

Sylvie, my dear customer from Luxembourg, was kind enough to share her story of the Lenten pretzel tradition of her country ...

"Give A Pretzel To Your Sweetheart"

To mark the half-way point of Lent, or “Halleffaaschten,” Luxembourg men traditionally give their sweethearts an almond pretzel to receive a chocolate egg in return on Easter Sunday. The pretzels are made from a Danish pastry dough, decorated with almonds. They can also be filled with nuts or chocolate. Tradition has it that men give their sweetheart a pretzel for Bretzelsonndeg, the Sunday four weeks after the start of Lent. Should the woman in question wish to return the sentiment, she will give a chocolate egg to the man on Easter Sunday. However, on leap year, roles are reversed and it is the woman's turn to gift the sweet pastry.

Thanks, girlfriend! It is interesting that your pretzel is sweet, unlike here in the US, where it is covered with salt and often eaten with beer.

You've Gotta See This Great Idea

Shelly Hickox has a wonderful idea for a surprise gift box using my pink Marie torso. She has complete how to instructions on her blog. It can certainly be altered if you don't have a Sizzix die cut machine. Just use a plain white box. Thanks so much Shelly!

NEW: The Royal Perfumer Paper Doll

Instead of the usual Valentine's Day card, why not give her something she will enjoy and display year round? Print as many as you like for one low price...and you know how pricey cards are these days!
